$26 (cart included), played on Friday, September 2012 at 10am

Played here 9-14-12. A word about pricing: we paid only cart fees of $25 because one of our group had won a round for four in a silent auction. While there, learned that "real" pricing is all over the map, because of the proximity to the resort area of Ocean City. Rack rate is over $100, and IMHO the course just isn't worth that much (BTW, the course web site has ZERO info on rates: that should tell you something!). I'd say a weekday round should not exceed about $50, with cart, weekend maybe $70 or so. Lots of competition for the traveller's buck in the OC area, so shop around and don't take the first price offered! Anyway, the course itself is excellent: imaginative design, especially since there is no elevation change to speak of, but the architect did a wonderful job of keeping one's interest up, and only a couple of holes look alike (the over-water par 3's looked a lot the same to me). Greens were superb: smooth, medium fast and true. Fairways were a little spotty, and the rough was quite shaggy, although the grass was pretty thin in spots. Bunkers were excellent: well-placed and well-groomed. I was a little disappointed in the score card: no hole diagrams of any sort, which is a little hard to understand given the transient nature of their target clientele. Also, the clubhouse/proshop is adequate, but by no means upscale, and the parking is terrible. Seems like it was an afterthought, as it is at least 300 yards away from the bag drop "in the gravel lot at the end of the street." Hardly the kind of starting image one expects from a course which demands such high prices! Anyway, I recommend, with the caution about verifying prices in advance.

The course is in good shape and the layout is better than average. The only negative is if you have never played it before you don't know where some of the holes go and therefore how to play it.

Would travel: 10-20 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again
